A race-used piece of bodywork, cut from the McLaren sidepod using high-pressure water jets, and now it is framed alongside the British driver tackling the Shanghai International Circuit forever. McLaren F1 Team had been on the back foot during the mid-2010's. Whilst they had some phenomenal driver line-ups that included Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne, the on track performance's were not matching up to its incredible history. The Woking team made some large changes and that included the hiring of Zak Brown as CEO.
The systematic rebuild of the Papaya team has taken time, but now they are back and better than ever.
Having joined in 2018 as the test and reserve driver, Norris made his debut at the opening round of 2019. Since then, Norris and McLaren have been going from strength to strength, and worked tirelessly to bring the iconic team back to winning ways.
Back to winning ways they are.
Lando Norris took his first ever career victory at the Miami Grand Prix and did not stop there. Building on that, the McLaren point man kept going to have his best ever season, taking three more wins and leading McLaren F1 Team to the Constructors' Championship - their first since 1998.
